It took a bit longer to create Across The Sky because we spent some additional time working
on the sound - the compression, the EQ, and the mastering. We also found ourselves rethinking
parts and reworking tracks due to some limitations of the equipment. This led to an upgrade of
the studio in preparation of our next project, which we began working on in April.
We spent less time on the drums in favor of rhythmic loops, relying upon them to act as the
foundation of some songs. While the songs stood on their own quite well, we will be utilizing
both loops and percussion in the next project in order to strengthen the sound.
We've been told that our covers resemble the Pink Floyd style. We consider this an extreme
compliment since we do not think we have ever come close to the work of Storm Thorgerson.
His artwork is amazing and his talent is superior to anything we have done thus far. Let's just
say that we are using his work as the bar that we would love to reach someday.
